This is a top end yogurt maker and reflects in the price. Its main feature is its automatic cooling system, this is for those who want to make yogurt at home on autopilot you just add your ingredients push the start button and everything is done for you. So if you are looking for a hassle free experience with all the guesswork taken out this will probably be the machine for you.
T-fal YG232BUS Balanced Living Yogurt Maker with LCD Timer
This is slightly more expensive than the Euro Cuisine YM80 but not by a great amount but it does contain a countdown timer and automatic shut off. Like the YM80 again it also uses glass jars but they are slightly smaller so you will receive a slightly lower yield from each batch. It’s a tough call as they are both excellent entry level yogurt makers.
Yogourmet Multi Electric Yogurt Maker with Yogurt and CBA Starter
This one comes with 2 boxes of probiotic yogurt starter so you don’t need to buy it separately and the moment they are also offering a free yogurt thermometer and yogurt cheese strainer with the product which is a pretty good deal. I’d describe this as a mid-level yogurt maker it makes up to a generous 2qrt batch of yogurt each time. The only negative to this yogurt maker is that it doesn’t have a timer.
Dash DSY007CM Stainless 7 Jar Home Yogurt Maker
There are a lot of yogurt making machines available online but on doing our research this one got the biggest ratio of positive reviews. This one once again is similar to the Euro Cuisine YM80 and the T-fal YG232BUS in that it has separate jars it also contains a timer. It’s a simple to use machine that it is lightweight and doesn’t take up much kitchen space.
Conclusion
Apart from the higher end Cuisinart CYM-100 which is in a larger investment the rest are all relatively inexpensive Yogurt Makers and you will have to weigh up what you want out of your machine be it one large batch of yogurt, individual jars, automatic shut off and timer included. Anyone of them should make you delicious homemade yogurt and save you a few dollars on your grocery bills if you eat yogurt regularly.
