Today, I’m going to be taking you guys through an article on how to prepare a slow, cooker, aka, crockpot, chicken, the most effective, simplest, and delicious way to do so that I use practically every week. This is the simplest and easiest way to do so. I promise a huge advocate of the slow cooker because it allows you to cook in bulk, get a delicious nutritious meal, there are tons of recipes and things that you can do with it yet still optimize your time.
Let it sit in the slow cooker go about your day and by the time you come home, you’ll have your bowl prepared, nutritious meals, ready to go, and then you can Tupperware it up or whatever. You do to make sure that you’re on point for your nutrition goals for the week, so the first thing we’re going to do is look at the ingredients that you guys are going to need when it comes to prepping, crockpot style, slow, cooker, bodybuilding chicken.
Here we go so I’m sure it goes without saying, but obviously, you’re going to need chicken breasts for this article, so you guys are also going to need seasoning when it comes to this recipe. I like to use the zesty lemon seasoning because it allows me to then after the chicken is prepared. It doesn’t give it too heavy of a flavor. It’s just a nice light, lemon flavor and then I can add, sauces and whatnot and be a little bit more flexible on how I want to dress it up after it’s prepped and then the last and only other ingredient you’re going to need is just water.
So it’s really simple guys: three ingredients, chicken, water, and then whatever seasoning, you actually prefer and then, of course, obviously you will need a slow cooker now, the first actual step in preparation is I’m actually going to take my chicken here, I’m going to get it out Of the package rinse it off really quick and then I’m going to prepare it before I put it in the crock-pot I’ll show you guys just how to do that all right.
So once your chicken is rinsed and ready to go, you could do one of two things you can either skip ahead to the next step in this article or, if you’re picky like me, you can get rid of this white stuff. That’s on your chicken breast. It’s called grizzle. What I do that is, I take some meat Cheers and I literally just go through really quickly cutting off the grizzle put it in a garbage can and then I’ll move forward to the next step.
I’r has done getting the grizzle off and all the cartilage and the nasty stuff that picky eaters, like myself, don’t like on my chicken breasts. I have my chicken breast here. All cleaned off got all the nasty stuff off ready to go. The next step, you’re going to want to do is place your chicken breasts into the slow cooker crockpot, and you can do so. It doesn’t have to be in any particular order beautiful.
So now I have all my chicken in the crockpot. The next thing I’m going to want to do now is to add my seasoning, so our seasoning is on there probably a couple of pounds of chicken in here, so I do like to use a lot of seasoning. I always layer it on top guys. You don’t have to go in and specifically layer, every breast or anything I literally just throw it on top so easy and simple to do them now. It’s time to add the water in the real, quick tip, guys you’re not going to want to submerge all the chicken in the water you’re, probably going to want to fill the water height up to where it’s almost completely submerged, but not quite I’ll.
Show you guys just how to do that perfectly. So we have just the right amount of water in here. As you guys can see, it isn’t completely submerged it’s almost completely at the top, but that’s a perfect amount, exactly what we need and now we’re going to set our crockpot. What preferences do we like for how long we’d like it to be cooking for now for actual cook time, you guys are going to have two options to cook it on high for four hours or low for six hours.
It really doesn’t matter it’s entirely up to you on when you’d like it cooked and how quickly so, I’m going to do mine on high for four hours just so, it’s done a little bit quicker and there you’re going to seal it up. It’s ready to go and I will see you guys back in four hours. What’s up guys, I’m back nowhere to check out my check back Qi well exceeded the four hours that I originally set it to cook for, and the beautiful thing about the crockpot.
It’ll actually keep your food warm for you, despite the fact that it will exceed the amount of time that you set it for so. My point is you guys can see. The crockpot will actually keep it warm for you, despite the fact that the timer has run out quite a bit ago for me, but it’ll keep it warm for you, which is really nice. So, let’s check on our chicken look at that. Look. How beautiful that looks still warm ready to go Tupperware up, however, you like, I, usually set out a few Tupperware bins, so usually I’ll.
Just take a large spoon and I’ll just take the chicken here kind of get rid of some of the seasoning stuff on here. On top and what I love about, the crockpot guy is a chicken literally. I mean I barely inputting any amount of pressure on this and the chicken literally as you guys, can see, just falls apart and then you’ll have your shredded chicken ready to go. Oh, guys got all my chicken breasts now, topper wears it up.
I have four Tupperware bins just to give you kind of a scale and measure packed to the brim with this delicious shredded moist chicken. What’s also really nice guys about using the slow cooker or the crock-pot, is you don’t have a ton of dishes and a huge mess in the kitchen after worrying about you? Let it have one pot and just the spoon that I use to clean very easily. Very simple to do does not take a lot of time now I have all this chicken prepared, which you can choose the store most of it in the freezer.
If you like, and then just leave some in the fridge and use as you go and then defrost it when you’re ready to use it and what I love about the chicken guys is, you can use it in so many numerous meals. You can put it in wraps, you can put it in a salad, you put it on top of pasta, you can make sandwiches out of it. You can eat it. Just as it is, it’s really very flexible. It’s going to be delicious.
