I’m not sure what many of us expected from Crock-Pot’s new Wonder Woman slow cooker, but it was definitely something more impressive than a $40 crockpot with Wonder Woman’s logo on it.

A couple of months ago, we reported that Crock-Pot had teamed up with Warner Bros. to make a Wonder Woman slow cooker to celebrate the release of the character’s first solo movie.

The slow cooker will be available at Walmart stores, and it can cook all your favorites: soup, stew, chili, or even pulled pork. But aside from being able to watch Diana Prince while you eat dinner, there is nothing particularly special about the appliance. It has 8 quarts capacity, which is great for families or people cooking for one who is tired of reheating their meals every day. It also has a countdown digital timer and a dishwasher-safe glass lid and a stoneware pot for easy cleaning.

In the spirit of the recent images of Wonder Woman in the kitchen, I’d like to share a link with you.

I’ve been cooking meat in my crockpot for years. I got tired of coming home to soup, so I started putting it in frozen. That made it more convenient, but not exactly juicy. I followed a tip from a friend and tried seasoning and browning it before putting it in the crock with liquid (usually water). That worked well. Then one day, I used chicken broth instead of water – even better! But sometimes it was too salty for my family’s tastes. So I tried using half broth and half water, and that’s about perfect for us.
